A another great read from Thomas Originally shared by Thomas Greanias THE BIG DISCLAMIER Now that my December action fantasy DILESIOS is available for pre-order on Amazon (and outselling next month's James Frey title Endgame—Ouch! Come on, people!), some Ingress fans have wondered how much of DILESIOS is fact and how much fiction.   The cover blurb makes it pretty clear, I should think:   "A fallen angel makes a desperate attempt to save a brilliant young scientist and her city from destruction in hopes of gaining redemption from his violent past. But as he soon discovers, there are no second chances for seraphs like him, and all hell breaks loose." It's fiction, folks! Ah, but then there's the real-world Seattle setting, the site of the @lantis Media Tower and well documented XM anomalies (see Ingress Reports) involving yours truly. All I can say, like I did in the Author's Note of the Niantic novella The Alignment Ingress, is that even I don't necessaril...

Originally shared by AtlantisGO The American Tyche: Discussion Question of the Week Back in Ancient Rome, Jews and Christians were often accused of "atheism"-- not believing in the state religion of the gods. Caesar Domitian, as shown in the novel Dominium Dei, upped the ante by equating himself with God and requiring subjects to pass a two-step litmus test of loyalty: 1. The Anathema: a denunctiation of all other gods but Caesar/Rome. 2. The Tyche: a swearing by the fortune or authority of Caesar of his ultimate supremacy. Failure to bow before Caesar, as the innocent playwright Athanasius discovers in Dominium Dei, is cause for execution. Question: Do you believe our governments or culture today impose any sort of litmus test on us? And that failure to publicly adhere to it may threaten one's social standing or professional career or even freedom? Bonus Question for Ingress agents: How does this factor for Enlightened and Resistance factions? And how do you know if t...

Now this is interesting  #RIPHankJohnson   Originally shared by Thomas Greanias More pages from Hank Johnson's untold story.... #ingress   #alignment   Hank set the pages down on a table next to the fireplace and picked up his bottle of  Russian River Pliny the Elder and took a swig.  Lost languages.  Symbols.  Howard had to be talking about glyphs.  Glyphs that went back ages.  Glyphs perhaps of Shaper origins.  Glyphs like the ones he saw beneath the Luizi Crater.    He picked up the Lovecraft letter, which Lovecraft wrote in reply to Robert E. Howard’s letter.  This one was also typewritten, on a single sheet of paper, with symbols Lovecraft had drawn at the bottom. ----------------  Dear R:   I look forward with great interest to hearing of your upcoming exploits.  There is a pronounced shortage of Comanches in my area, most likely because they have been run off by the particularly murderous breed of debt collector who has recently descended upon [BLOTTED OUT] and me.  Damn m...
