Faction team work at its best!

Image
Faction team work at its best! Originally shared by Aaron Pollock United Chicagoland Resistance has a new banner! The Chicago Enlightened presented the United Chicagoland Resistance with a brand-new UCR banner, as seen in the group photo from Ingress First Saturday on June 6. Upon learning about the loss of our flag one week prior, their team extended a very thoughtful gesture. This unexpected and generous gift shows the strength and respect of the community that makes Ingress so much more than a game. On behalf of the United Chicagoland Resistance – Thank you, Chicago Enlightened! We are proud to be part of the Ingress community in Chicago! #Ingress   #IngressFS   #Resistance   #Enlightened   #AgentStory   #SitRep   #Persepolis   #IngressReport   Photo Vikki Evans  Ingress Niantic Project John Hanke Brandon Badger Joe Philley Brian Rose Kelly Kolton Brian Peterson

Very classy agents!

Very classy agents! Originally shared by Dan Maker Operation Rainbow U: Ian djiweb Weber  came up with the idea to link UVU (school color green) and BYU (school color blue) with alternating green and blue links. Dan Maker took on the challenge to plan it. Coincidentally, each campus has a Foucault Pendulum, they are both portals, and they ended up being linked. Agents began gathering keys on Wednesday. Link clearing started Friday night, with intense effort being put in Saturday afternoon. The linking began Saturday evening and the project was complete by 2300 hours Saturday with a total of 81 links, 40 blue and 41 green. Medals were earned, resonators deployed, links thrown. FUN was had by all! Most amazing was that it lasted 36 hours! Honoring a fallen agent and the family could use some help.

Honoring a fallen agent and the family could use some help. #Missionsforgood #Ingress   Originally shared by Jill Matthews-Hadley Sitrep-Op in support of www.youcaring.com/rabidcowfunds   Z Field of a Lifetime This will not be your typical sit-rep.  There will be no mention of agents that were active in the field or helped with planning and operating.  The words here are NOT my own, but a collaboration of many, from BOTH factions. The common thread in all of this is that WE did it. Nothing that went on here would have happened without serious teamwork & community effort! When local Enl agent RabidCow, Kyle Z died unexpectedly, it brought an otherwise volatile community together like never before in honor of a life well loved. Every agent involved, in honor of RabidCow, set their ego aside. Prior to this op, many agents involved would not have wanted to be within scanner range of each other. Yet, all worked together and never said a single bad word in planning and execution in or...

Misplaced Portal & An Ingress Mini-Adventure

Image
Misplaced Portal & An Ingress Mini-Adventure During the early days of Ingress, portals were scarce and rare in Malaysia, especially in Georgetown , Penang. Being a lowly level 3 agent at that time (January 2013), capturing portals and linking them were vital to move up the rank. After checking the intel map, I proceeded to capture most of the portals in the city thanks to ammunition provided by Adrian Goh Han Wee. The ones in the city center were easy enough to locate, but there was one misplaced portal at Mount Erskine which was well off the beaten path. That's how my little adventure started.  After parking my car by the side of a dirt road, I followed the scanner's direction to locate the portal. I was thinking the location must be wrong when all I could see were graves around me. I was in a cemetery. And the directions from the scanner had me tiptoeing, literally, over the graves of the dead and buried because the graveyard was not well managed and there was no walkin...

Watch the anomaly recap from Kyoto: https://youtu.be/ZI6g1Egs8L0 Some Agents who spoke both Japanese and English wore "English OK" stickers as part of a cross-faction effort to help visiting Agents who did not speak Japanese.
