We have been used to challenging ourselves at each new operation. But this time, we wanted to reach a new level of crazyness. We decided to beat the record of P8 concurrently standing in a single city by building at least 4000 P8 portals within one night . (Previous record being 1878 P8 in Barcelona within 31 hours) The date was set on Saturday, November 8th (hoping that no official Niantic anomalies would overlap with our event), and first invitations were sent early this summer. Originally shared by Ingress Resistance Paris - France Portal Level 14 in Paris Even if that does not give any special power to the portal, the Resistance in Paris and surburbs gathered to build what we believe the first L14-only players portal in France. We decided to build it at "Place des Victoires" in Paris, a famous place where the Enlightened of Paris built the first L8 portals last year. Paris does it right! Originally shared by Ingress Resistance Paris - France Paris, the City of Love. One of its most beautiful bridge, Pont Alexandre III, is connecting the Champs-Élysées quarter and the Eiffel Tower quarter. Romantic scenes often take place on the bridge, with lovers from the entire world coming here to admire the view on the Seine and the surroundings. The Parisian Resistance wanted to celebrate National Hug Day on January 21 with a L8 Love Farm, and the bridge was the best place for this.   Despite the freezing cold, five couples of Ingress players met and made a Level 8 farm. Of course, they made some hugs, even some kisses (eh, it’s Paris after all!), had some fun, and enjoyed the view.   Ironically, the farm was destroyed by two green players. Maybe they’re also forming a couple in life, who knows? According to the logs, they spent at least a part of the night together. I'm Morka and I've got 34 millions AP. I was involved in all Parisians operations, including #Cassandra . For me Ingress is not a game but a life style, and I even dream about it. If I decided to apply to EliteV , it wasn’t on the basis of my noted AP, but rather because Ingress has really become part of my life and I love it. Resistance players from Paris love telling that I couldn’t possibly have a real job for playing so much, and I sometimes joke with them by answering that I work for Niantic. If I get chosen for EliteV , I hope to finally meet Niantic Team (and see Anne again), find out how they work and what’s behind the game. I started to play Ingress in November 2012 and have never been able to break the addiction since then.
