I started playing about a year ago in Chicago and live in the North Eastern Indiana region. I have also been able to travel around and play Ingress (both for work and for pleasure). One of those trips was to Ireland where I was welcomed into their community. Being accepted to their community, I was accepted to their google plus page as well. Recently Fernando Moreira posted on their page about a world-wide OP that was coming up: Hearts for Kaj & Alby. Two +Ingress agents are getting married. What better way to commemorate their marriage and love but with a cross-faction event. Well I jumped on this opportunity. I have always wanted to do field art and it was the perfect opportunity for a cross-faction event here in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. I began to plan the event. Very classy agents Originally shared by Alejandra Castillo This last Sunday a group of ENL and RES agents reunited to take part in the first cross-faction field art in the country, creating the beautiful sun you can see in the pictures, dedicated to Carlos Páez Vilaró, a well-known uruguayan artist. Agents @dimeematt @lordabismo @natus02 @makafenix @Siriquete @kitana87 @lordgrafo @charles990 @golliat17 @JKNICO @Uruguayo94 @AcaEstaDaro @sofirosag and @jupazero worked hard in the field from 10:00 AM (On sunday) to 01:00 AM (Monday) creating this gigantic example of cordiality between factions. Agents @fershana @danilomartinez and @Orisai also contributed to the cause, but unfortunately they were not able to participate. Originally shared by ResetStudio #0806DROP #ingress #dropart Masashi Kawashima Kento Suga #crossfaction 広島の仲間たちがどえらい作品作ってくれました！ 受け身なのは、近親者に不幸があり、言い出しっぺの私自身が参加できなくなったためです。 発案者が不在というきついスタートとなった0806ドロップアート始まりです。 そもそもの契機は、僕が、広島で、イングレスを行える意味を考えた時でした。 僕らの街広島には、ポータルが沢山あります。これはもちろんSeer職人様方がちょっと本気出しちゃった結果でもあるのですが、その根元には、先人たちの復興への努力、その成果としてのヘンテコなオブジェ、立ち並ぶ灯篭、過去を偲ぶ史跡があります。 僕はこの当たり前の事実に改めて気付き、感謝し、バースターをぶっ放し、CFを作るのです。 平和を感じながら。 正直な話、ドロップアートにしようか？という案が出た時難色を示しました。しかし、発案者の鶴の一声「グラデーション使ってスゲェの作ったらヤバくね？」に飛びつきました。そんな事やった人たぶんいらっしゃらない！ 僕は先人の成果でもあるポータルからハックしまくり、レゾを貯めるのでした。 皆に時間を使ってもらってはデモを行い、まっすぐ線引いたり、マーク描いてみたり。 準備はしたものの、困難なプロジェクトでした。 事前にデモなどをして準備していたものの、今日は色々なことが起こりました。 くたびれ果てた仲間たちの代わりに、その困難だった一部を紹介したいと思います。 ここや！と気合いで落とした渾身のレゾドロップが、ツルッとGPS移動により微妙に違う場所へ…最後まで悩まされたようです。 ドロップアートされた方には当たり前のことかもしれませんが、一定範囲内に大量ドロップすると、見かけ上消えるドロップが発生します。微調整してたら大事な場所のドロップが消えるなんてことも多々ありました。 今回の大量ドロップはアート的表現を図るための手段ですが、そのためにとんでもない表示負荷がかかり、ガックガクのラグに悩まされたようです(´･_･`) 平日会社が終わってから参加する...

Our prayers go out to all, such a lost. Originally shared by Alexa Freyman (aymay) We’ve experienced great loss and heartbreak in our local Berks County, PA Ingress community over the past few weeks. A couple weeks ago we lost a Resistance Agent, and now we received news of a tragic motorcycle accident on Sunday evening that left a leader of a church that many agents attend fighting for his life, and his wife killed.  Now as members of the community we are left to pick up the pieces, and try to make sense and clarity out of such horrible events. As agents we decided to band together and make a tribute through field art. The green heart is stemmed from the church’s portal. The blue dove below represents transition, healing and hopefulness.  Life never really prepares you for these moments. I urge you all to be safe and tell the people you care for that you love them. There were incredible turn outs at both locations which is why we have a record breaking amount of funds raised in a day! Counting the online donations which were in part a direct result of the two First Saturday events, we raised more money than we did at Shonin Pasadena! Amazing!
