Even though he's on the wrong Ingress team ;) Nick had a great idea to get himself entered in #ifihadglass  and was chosen along with around 8000 other nerdy people to be in the first round of users for Google Glass. Unfortunately, winning the contest was the easy part. Now Nick has to come up with $1500 (plus tax, and travel to Google) which is currently incompatible with his budgetary situation. As a fellow Detroit Ingress player, nerd, and #ifihadglass  winner, I would very much like to help Nick raise his #GlassMoney. We're talking old school "barn raising" or "rent party", but with an obvious nerdy next generation bend. I'd love to see Nick reach his goal, get his glass and actualize his dream of revolutionizing training videos...

To do that, we asked people across Google+ and Twitter to tell us what they would do #ifihadglass . We could never have imagined such an enthusiastic response! There were so many creative, diverse, and (sometimes) crazy applications. We’ve certainly learned a lot through this whole process and it’s inspiring to hear how much passion there is for Glass.  Now for the really exciting bit... we know you’ve all been waiting patiently, which is why we’re pleased to announce that the results are in. Over the next few days we’ll be sending out invitations to our Explorer Program through Google+ and Twitter. He was traveling alone to Phoenix Arizona to visit with his granddaughter and Great Grandson. He got on the flight in Houston, His bags were picked up in Phoenix, not sure by whom, but he was not picked up by my niece or her husband. Please Please Please call the authorities if you see him or have seen him.  He is about 5'10", about 190 lbs, forgetful and last seen wearing a long sleeve brown sweater. These are fairly recent photos of him from our wedding and family gatherings. He traveled to Phoenix today (2-22-13) on United flight 339.  Please share this with all of your Circles, Communities, and people you know in the greater Phoenix area.
