Originally shared by Bryan Musial SitRep: Operation Bloodmoon Friday, April 10th brought clear skies to Indiana offering a peek at the remnants of the 3rd so-called 'Bloodmoon' that occurred earlier in the week from the 2014-2015 Lunar Eclipse Tetrad. While it wasn't the full Bloodmoon, our trio set out to create a multi-layer field while also observing some remarkable astrophenomena. #OpBloodmoon kicked off at 11:20PM in a single vehicle, heading north to get a 76.75km base link established between Delphi, Indiana and Sweetser, Indiana. From there, we turned east to do a touch of cleanup and began a 17-layer fielding run around 2:55 AM. The final field was a whopping 1,414,512 MU split between AM02-JULIET-09 and AM02-JULIET-10, covering a total area equivalent to just over 1/3 of the area of the state of Indiana.
