Most excellent love hearing this kind of story! Originally shared by Heather Havis ('HeterTheMoth') The upcoming Anomaly will be on the 10th anniversary of my mother's death. The tiny isolated island community of Kökar is located between the rest of the Åland Islands and mainland Finland. My Mother, Grandmother and Grandfather are buried there. I made many Ingress portals there as the place is very dear to my heart, having spent every childhood summer there. When three of our local Green players visited there recently, I half jokingly asked them to put flowers on my family's grave, if they had time between capturing portals. I was incredibly touched when Fjollmeister Kalle Mether sent me the photograph below. They really had taken the time to pick flowers and find the correct headstone to lay them on. Some players might criticise our good Cross Faction harmony, but it makes me happier than I can adequately express. Ingress #MoreThanJustAGame #IngressFinland #Ing...

Very cool and thanks for sharing ! Originally shared by Heather Havis ('HeterTheMoth') As I have a Parkinsonism related neurological disorder, I thought even the bronze glyph badge was beyond me, but just as Ingress has helped me greatly in overcoming depression and social anxiety, the glyph sequences have really helped me improve my memory, concentration and manual dexterity. Truly more than 'just a game'. Thank you Niantic! #Ingress #IngressFinland #IngressStories #EarlyOnsetParkinsonism NIA Ops Ingress Anne Beuttenmüller Matilde Tusberti Brandon Badger Joe Philley Susanna Moyer

#ingressstories Originally shared by Greg Matern Two years ago, this time of year (+/- 2 weeks) I met a stranger (lnx frk) in a parking lot of a Buffalo Wild Wings to exchange gear for a new game I started playing, Ingress  . I remember bragging about my sizeable collection of shields (~ 6 Rares and a Very Rare) and the fact that I was almost level 3. Though I had my invite for a few weeks prior to that, it wasn't until that point that Ingress really became a way of life. In the last two years, I've met so many great people on both sides, had life changing experiences including getting a new job from the people that I met through Ingress, met up with people from other states and countries, and participated in a few Anomalies. It all started with an encounter two years ago in a freezing cold parking lot. What a strange journey it has been.
