If you can read this, it is a true story...it is a desperate call for help for the Resistance in Southeastern Virginia....My name is Fordpref and this is our situation...

Two Resistance operatives stood out in the dark and cold on the ragged edge of land where the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay meet.  The rain was making it difficult to operate the scanners.  The wind was piercing and bitingly cold.  They had a plan, but they knew that plans of this magnitude rarely work out.  If only they had more people.  Shivering, fighting GPS lock problems, and operating nearly blind, they began execution.

The Enlightenment had been ravaging and operating with impunity throughout south side Hampton Roads for almost a week.  The Resistance was fledgling and disorganized.  These two operatives were about to change that, but they knew it was going to be a very difficult battle.

Inglorian and Fordpref started putting resonators on the portal, leveling it up.  In less than a minute, the portal could finally do it...and Fordpref made the first link, linking the Atlantic ocean to the East Beach tower on the Chesapeake bay.  The link held.  The unification of Virginia Beach and Norfolk had begun.

Inglorian moved and shot the next link to a portal on the Lynnhaven River.  Fordpref hit two more links south on the Lynhaven river, and then hours of planning came together in just minutes.  Nearly all of northern virginia beach and almost all of Norfolk were now under the mind influence of the Resisance.  The night was not yet done.

The two operatives moved south from there, into a veritable sea of Enlightenment green.  It was time to break the strong hold and they had to move fast.  The northern most anchor was Santa's Flippers, and Fordpref made short work of it.  An Enlightenment field was down and they now knew for certain we were moving against them.  The only advantage we had against our higher level nemeses was surprise.  We split up and quickly moved on.

It was soon apparent that the plan was not going to fully work.  The Englightenment are too strong here and two operatives weren't going to take it all back.  Our goal was to clear the links and create a straight shot from Rudee inlet to our new portal on Cape Henry.  About halfway down the ocean front we realized we couldn't do it.

Fordpref quickly dispatched four closely spaced Enlightenment portals at the King Neptune statue, then moved down the ocean front hacking portals to replenish XMP Bursters.  He then selected the best portal to level up and make the link to the heart of Town Center and Cape Henry to secure northern Virginia Beach and unite it with Norfolk.  

Standing alone between two hotels, Fordpref could barely get a GPS and Data lock for the final effort.  The intensity of the rain increased, but it was now or never.  Fordpref took out the two enlightment portals there.  He claimed one, "Smile" for the Resistance, leveled it up, and attempted the desperate link to the heart of Virginia Beach.  He failed.  He didn't have enough of a high enough level of resonator to build the link....

Without more help, we can't fight back.   We are out numbered and out leveled.  Help us.  Help us if you can.  We need more invite codes...

Our story ending is in your hands, our fate determined by your actions...but we will not go quietly, we will submit, we will think and act of our free will, and we will     RESIST!
