    Only thing I can say is that you'll get much more headway with invites by doing something creative, even if it's simple, than asking for them in comments. Tag a few ingress-involved (Including Joe here), and if they like it, they'll get you an invite.

    I crashed and burned on my first submission, but got in with a 2D Minecraft build of the Ingress logo among some cool scenery.

    Also, look up the Ingress IRC - if you're willing to hang out in the invites channel there, they have large giveaways every so often. I was unlucky in that one because I spent three hours without seeing a single invite, but the day after I finally got an invite on G+, an admin came in and gave away like 50 codes.
