Makes you wonder just what kind of "tools" Hank Johnson is going to share with us via his new NOMAD show. Loved the trailer on YouTube.

And it will be awesome to see how much he and Conrad "Raising Atlantis" Yeats have ALREADY put them to use in their African adventure when the book comes out.

  1. Poor people w/cheap tech, is that what qualifies as "middle class"? Oh wait, they're "virtual". Are Healthpoint the same people that are building wells forcing people pay for water on their own land via electronic payment? I'd be outraged if a foreign company were trying to charge me for water from Lake Michig-n! And what about the eradication of the American middle class? Here, technology is being used to reduce costs, i.e. reduce human workforce. Technology isn't being used to bridge the wealth gap, quite the opposite. Helping the less fortunate is well & good, but this "altruism" is about creating cheap labor force, with just enough material comfort to quell unrest or revolt. This article smells to me like the author is a tool of a PR machine working for some tech consortium. Plus, that pic of the author makes me want to punch him in the face. IMHO.
