  1. "Google Field Trip is the all-knowing tour guide you always wanted..."

..as long as your interests are limited to the continental north America.

  2. When Google Field Trip and Niantic Labs Ingress marry, I'm so gonna be Field Trip's matron of honor, and bake the groom's cake for Ingress.

  3. dial 1-805-- And Joe, are you aware how out of control your little game already is? I tell you your app is being used for all sorts of things, both good and bad, useful and just fun or funny. Im working on the write-up. Good news, I found video recorded from the mid-febuary 'occurance' or whatever I should call it. And CERN is just the front story folks......

  4. Is that +1 by Joe Philly an official confirmation? Ive pre-ordered the books too. It'd be nice if you'd tell us what we are supposed to leak and not leak. More, that is.

  5. Jan Moren it's only officially available in the US. The 'other' continental North Americans (AKA #Canucks) have to sideload it to get limited functionality.

  8. I used it breifly... it told me there was a portal near me in falkirk... the one it showed me was in minnisota usa. lol!

  9. Lol Michael Edmond I also used it briefly but the only portal it would show in Glasgow was the one at central station so I ditched it.

  10. You're under attack, several portals destroyed, you go out to defend, you take back your entities, you're satisfied. An hour after the excitement you get a FIELD trip notification about one of the portals having open slots. None of the other portals are recognised.
At the moment FIELD trip is just late noise.

  12. Valerie Wallace  - we might be related.  William Wallace, as in the Scottish knight and landowner who became one of the main leaders during the Wars of Scottish Independence, and recently used in  Ingress lore, is my Greatx20-Grand-Uncle.  I haven't been to Glasgow since I was a child, but hope to one day return with Scotland with my girls.  It will be game on though, as I believe you are Resistance to my Enlightenment faction choice?  Shame, I really like your posts.  Could be fun though!

Field Trip needs to have a way to search for and suggest new points of interest if the only portal was central station in Glasgow.  Shameful!

  13. Nancy Moïse Haws I'm a Wallace by marriage, McNeill by birth. Yes, we are Resistance, what else would a Wallace in Scotland be? :)

  14. Too funny Valerie Wallace!  and..that could have gone either way and would have been written to say, for instance, accommodate the reality that he was executed, drawn and quartered for rebelling against the King of England.  But alas, Enlightened didn't win that day iin Scotland, just like Wallace eventually lost against the established rule of England.  Didn't I hear something about Scotland working to change that?  I have too little ones and well, it limits my memory.  Is it too late to still claim pregnant brain?!  ha!
