The History:
Over fifty years ago, an XM anomaly so strong so as to be detectable with 60s science was discovered. Under the cover of the 1962 World's Fair it was suppressed and contained by a novel structure known as the Space Needle. The project disappeared into classified files. But the energy within the anomaly was too strong for primitive human technology to hold for long.
The defenses are wavering. Fifty years worth of alien energies are about to be unleashed, and no field can hope to contain them. We know when it will happen. Only the faction that controls the site of the World's Fair can hope to tap into some fraction of that stored power - and bend the power surge to their own ends.
Containment will fail on May 4th. Scientists of both factions are studying the implications, and are on track to uncover a way to exploit the anomaly by April 15th. Mission orders for May 4th will be released at that time.
tl;dr This is a player planned event at the Seattle Center on May 4th. The official rules will be added to this event on April 15th. There will be a get together following the event, details will also be added on April 15th. (please check back for more information).
