Today, we built the Level 8 Portals
In Cedar Rapids, IA, 10 Level 8 Resistance Agents descended upon the city of the Five Seasons in order to build and farm some Level 8 Portals. Between the local Enlightened crew and the local Resistance crew, there has always been a bit of a competition to see who could build the first Level 8 portal in the area, and today, the Eastern Iowa (Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Quad Cities, Cedar Falls) Resistance group was able to build not only the first L8 portal in the area, but was able to successfully get 17 Level 8 portals built.
Portals (In order of build):
Tree of Five Seasons
Boy Scouts' Statue of Liberty
City Hall Sign
District Court - Small Claims
Science Center
Paramount Theater
Dancer Statue
Cedar Rapids Public Library
Theatre of Cedar Rapids
Dancers
Skyblade Sculpture
Greene Square Park Monument
Cedar Rapids Museum of Art
Cedar Rapids Flood-0198
Grant Wood Mural
The Beaver Building
Carl & Mary Koehler History Center
Working through family commitments, sickness, GPS Location Problems, Apps Crashing, Bathroom breaks and all, we were able to build these 17 L8 portals in around three and a half hours and burn them all out. Without the 10 agents who came out and participated, we would not have been able to accomplish this task. Thanks to: BlueRaptor, *Takrootx*, WhiteAngus, JPau, WillWheaton, RogueRebel, MissRaptor, Capacitor, J3xtr, and k9elite for helping to make the first L8 Portal in the area and for helping to farm today.
We were organized and prepared for just about anything that came in our way. We were also fortunate to have some lower-level people who could take advantage of some of AP from turning Green Portals Blue so that the L8 players could upgrade the resonators to Level 8.
Despite the short time to plan, we got it all done, spreadsheet and all (despite the fact that everyone told me I was wasting time)

Thanks Joe Philley we all worked hard to get to this point, and we're really happy that we were able to do what we did, Always great to have the families out there with all of the members, and to be able to enjoy the nice weather (as most of us have been playing since early on in the frigid cold temperatures)
