Boston "Lady Eight" Portal

We've been discussing for a while that the Boston-area Enlightened could easily create a P8 built entirely by women as other agents of both factions have done elsewhere. We've certainly had enough agents to do it since well before Cassandra, but it didn't happen until Carol Carveth took up the reins and selected the perfect portal: the Boston Women's Memorial (see http://www.boston.gov/women/memorial.asp ).
On Sunday, September 29 at 4:30pm or thereabouts we gathered on Boston's tree-lined Commonwealth Avenue by the statues of Abigail Adams, Lucy Stone, and Phillis Wheatley: eight ladies plus a gentleman's auxiliary. If we'd had more women one might have captured the portal with a low-level resonator while the rest placed R8s, or we might have captured two portals, but as it happened we were exactly eight.
We shared our Enlightened pins and green scarves with the three statues, placed our resonators, and posed: without our phones, with them (and tablets!) and then among the statues, who appear intriguingly Shaper glyph literate.
Agents sallythetimid, smasha, hellomoca, IClaudia, eturowski, xTrinityx, runningamok, and StrawShooter participated, with the support of TristanSim, dsensational, ScipioA, cokelin, and Zephos. This was the first Lady Eight in Boston and, we're pretty sure, in the northeastern US.
We adjourned to farm nearby Copley Square. It was a beautiful fall day, and there were tourists and agents galore, sculpture installations, and music from one of the upright pianos that appeared in Boston-area public squares last week. We are certain that the installation, "Street Pianos Boston: Play Me, I'm Yours" was a rich source of XM that evening. Perhaps a micro-anomaly? Check whether it is coming to a city near you.
We then adjourned to food. :)
The local Resistance captured the Boston Women's Memorial later Sunday evening with the help of another lady, named Ada, but as of this writing it is safely back in the Enlightened hands of our organizer.
