Gather ‘round Ingress agents and I’ll tell you a story. A story of Jarvis viruses and Beaver, PA.
Many moons ago, two Enlightened agents named Shane Kunkle and Amanda Kroft each received a Jarvis virus from a passcode. At that point, that was the only way to receive Jarvis viruses. Among the chit chat about passcodes and viruses, an idea was born. An idea of such EPIC proportions that it took these two agents a long time to gather the supplies they needed.
But first, let me tell you about Beaver, PA.
Beaver, PA is the home of the Pittsburgh Resistance’s first and longest standing L8 farm. A significant source of supplies for the Pittsburgh Resistance. Every time it gets destroyed, it gets built up again in a short time. With Resistance agent Jim Bolla watching over Beaver, the Enlightened have rarely been able to keep it Enlightened for more than a few hours. There are 48 portals in Beaver, PA.
A virus here, a virus there, Shane and Amanda gathered viruses with the help of other agents for four and a half months. Then it finally happened. They gathered over 48 viruses. There are 48 portals in Beaver, PA.
It was time for mobilization. An event was started, a hangout was made. Operation EPIC Conversion was born.
Over the next three days agents planned. Maps were drawn, maps were redrawn. Agents dropped in and out of availability. The night before, plans were finalized.
The day arrived. Everyone was on time. Emotions were high. Amanda handed out the orders. 12 L8 agents knew where they were to go. Pause for some photos, then everyone headed to their positions. “In Position” reported the agents. “Start Jarvising!” cried Amanda. 12 tense minutes passed.
There are now 48 L8 Enlightened portals in Beaver, PA.
