Love lighthouses and the name so its a win win for me on this one

Sitrep: Operation Untouchable
Objective: Clear Northland and capture Cape Reinga Lighthouse
Date: April 18-19th, 2014
Location: Northland, New Zealand
Distance travelled: Approx 1100km

History
Resistance had been growing strong to the north, we needed to show them we haven’t forgotten about the area. Cape Reinga Lighthouse is a portal at the northernmost point of the North Island of New Zealand. No New Zealand agent has ever captured of the portal (although both factions have tried), as there is no mobile or wired internet within range of the portal.
Initial plans to capture this portal were set in motion in June 2013, (First attempt on July 4th) which failed miserably. There have been multiple trips since in preparation for the momentous occasion, however it’s been the “untouchable” portal since the game first began.
Significance
Cape Reinga is generally considered the separation marker between the Tasman Sea to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east.
The lighthouse at Cape Reinga has stood since 1941.
According to Māori legend it is where the spirits of the dead gather to depart from this world to travel to the afterlife, the “leaping-off” place where they pass on.
So this Lighthouse has both in-game significance as well as national significance for a variety of reasons. It was only fitting that the Enlightened were the first to capture this Lighthouse. Although not directly addressed within Maori legend, we feel if we are able to enlighten souls both alive and as they pass on to the next life, we should.
Summary
Guided by @130spectre, agents @SkronkyBite, @ceejaye, @CeilingFan and @SkillSaw departed early on April 18th to clear the western side of Northland, while @Alnilamb, @CA909 and @Chi11ingSi1ence departed to take back the eastern side.
As it so happened, a Resistance team was also on an expedition north, but a short detour by our second team to collect walkie-talkies from @Roosterhys placed them 20 minutes behind the RE, allowing for convenient recapture of any freshly captured blue portals.
Both teams rested overnight and set out early the next day on the long journey towards the tip of the island, blazing a trail through all the blue portals, and having an absolute blast both in-game (Pew pew) and in real life, with much fun and laughter along the way. We stopped at many other places of significance, such as the countries largest native Kauri tree (“Tanemahuta”), and other viewpoints to admire the gorgeous country we live in.
It was a long and tiring journey, but the company and the end-goal made it all worthwhile.
Agent @SkronkyBite joined @Alnilamb, @CA909 and @Chi11ingSi1ence for the final trek from Kaitaia to the Cape, while the remaining agents proceeded to clear other Northland portals.
The lighthouse team arrived, set up the technical equipment, and went to work. There was a lot of interest from all the tourists along the way when they saw the equipment. The data connection was incredibly precarious and unstable, however with a little on-the-fly adjustment, at 3:51PM,@SkronkyBite made history and was the first ever New Zealand agent to capture the Cape Reinga Lighthouse portal, and to document the attempt.@Alnilamb @CA909 and @Chi11ingSi1ence were proud to have been there for the occasion!
This is a shining example of the planning, coordination, technical skills, and dedication of the Auckland Enlightened.
May the Cape Reinga Lighthouse shine as a beacon, not just for our country, but for the afterlife too.
