Common reasons for rejection of new submissions ,
Common reasons your invalid Portal report was rejected, and the Portal was not taken down

Agents:

In the past 24 hours, as you may have noticed, we sent a large number of rejection emails for submissions that were reviewed but were held up in the queue. This will continue for the next few days. We have reviewed all these submissions. If you disagree with the decision made, please send us a #PortalAppeal  by posting in the Ingress Portal Appeals community:

https://plus.google.com/communities/102464635958231746563?e=-RedirectToSandbox

Please do not resubmit: it slows down the process for everyone. Since we’ve already reviewed these submissions, if you feel we made a mistake, we most likely need more detailed information that can only be supplied via a #PortalAppeal , and we want to correct it as soon as possible!

Common reasons for rejection of new submissions:
- Photo submitted was not yours (i.e., it was pulled from the web, not taken by you).
- The candidate is on private residential property.
- The candidate is on the grounds of a school (kindergarten through high school).

Common reasons your invalid Portal report was rejected, and the Portal was not taken down:
- We did not have concrete evidence that the Portal is invalid, so we err on the side of caution and leave it up. (In this case, with your appeal, please include additional, updated photos of the area as proof).
- The Portal may not be the highest quality, but there is not a good reason to take it down at this time (i.e., it exists and is not in a dangerous location or on private residential property).

  1. I received an invalid report rejection. Both portals are completely invalid. One of them is at a private, fenced and guarded residential area and the other is a gutter. 😐

  2. It's semi crap. Between my home and work there is at least 10 Welcome to BLAH BLAH BLAH signs and all mine got rejected....Niantic APPROVED a Mailbox...we have 32000 the same but all the others are being rejected AND after multiple requests to delete 'THE ONE' they say it meets requirements---A Beer Store..REALLY? We have a Beer Store portal...OK we have a Beer Store every 2 Kms in Toronto...BUT none of those are getting accepted...Niantic sets precedent by choosing NON-CONFORMING portals, either delete the other ones OR accept them ALL NIA Ops

  6. Kovács Péter if you ever see the portal appear in comms, or drive by it, or have any way to see it and access portal view, you can report it. You don't need a key.

  9. Kovács Péter "The candidate is on the grounds of a school :
If the place meets the accessibility roles, what's the problem with it?"

The problem with it, is that if it's on school grounds, it doesn't meet the rules.

In the candidate portal criteria, one of the items listed under the "Usually rejected" section is:
Portals on school campuses (preschool through 12th grade) that are not accessible from the public sidewalk.
