#Spinnaker (https://plus.google.com/u/0/103313915948992830098/posts/b2m5mmtvV1J) was only the beginning. Few times after, Flurin had the idea that he would love to cover Europe for the Europeans Days, only with hardcore portals such as the anchors we used for #Spinnaker.
The choice
We proposed the Isle of Berder, known in Brittany for having access closed by the sea when the tide is high. Original plan was monolayers, but, in France, we don’t like monolayers, so we added our “french touch” to the plan and Europe OP HQ agreed to let us multi layers. 7 fields became 7x3 fields.
Exchange keys
Massive exchange of keys was done during London #Interitus anomaly (and we can blame the beer for one missed exchange with Ireland !). We were able to exchange keys with all our neighbors during this anomaly, it was a real good opportunity.
The planning
Next weeks were used for planning, identifying blockers etc, and finding the people available. Some issues were raised about the linking time (between the tide in Brittany and some “dead zones” where no agents were available at this time). Linking time was finally set once and for all with neighbors countries, we resolved the last “dead zones” problems with last minutes agents or reinforcements from neighbors foreigners (European Resistance is beautiful).
The final day
France to Switzerland
This link crossed two big cities controlled in majority by the Resistance : Angers and Tours. Decays were announced and perfectly respected by all the Teams, thanks to a very good communication. They also made an amazing cleaning job during all the afternoon, defending the place in front of many Enlightened players from Nantes. In the morning of the D-day, one Enlightened player made some quite long links from Bourges to Tigy and other towns, and we had to mobilize two Agents in emergency to clean them. However, a place destroyed by an Agent in the afternoon was attacked by an Enlightened player, and obliged two superheroes from the North of Paris (Sannois), Mirrdhyn and manutandoori, to drive almost 6 hours to break one unique portal at the top signal. Defensive links in Tournus, Angers, and the north of Nantes were Jarvis at the signal, and the road was clear. We owe them much because link from France to Switzerland would have been impossible without their dedication.
France to Netherlands
Decay was very well respected in this axis, no Jarvis were used the last day. The primary difficulty was that the links were passing through the north of Rennes, which was handled by a strong and motivated team of local agents.
France to Germany
That link did not showed up, but the pathway was open in France. The Rennes team which was divided between north and south did a simultaneous attack on 5 points in town to open way, as Chartres team went destroying some lost portals in the deep country. Rouen team went to destroy recent blockers in the deep country as well, while Northern team used a jarvis on a portal that was supposed to decay and some last second viruses.
France to Palma
The Enlightened are strong in this area of France, very reactive (they blocked one field in #Saphir), so the Resistance had the idea of fighting to field over Toulouse the day before to keep the attention, as a massive decoy. Some last blockers were destroyed last second and all was clear.
Palma to Switzerland
PACA team was as always very well organized, and prepared the pathway one week before, with stanmarsh and globulator in the Vanoise region, cold and snowy into the high mountains.
Several corridors links and defensives megafields over Aix and Marseilles were established during the week, with some last second portals kept to be virused, like the lighthouse in Perpignan used by the Enlightened for their field over Corsica and Sardinia.
Brittany headquarters, links to Azores and Ireland
Last day, some decoy attacks were sent, and a last hard blockers is destroyed by 2 agents on a boat. Brittany was glad to welcome the team from Versailles, and some other veterans players from Nantes (the100sofme) and Angers (Beuwa). Expendables-like casting ! 4 teams were launched around the golf to clean the last blockers and prepare the first and 2nd layers of each portion around the center point of Berder. 30 minutes before the start of the operation, Enlightened activity is high on the Western Ireland anchor, so we open the way to Ireland in advance to let them pass, and from this point, every fields came up very quickly. It was beautiful to see incomings links from Ireland, Azores, Portugal, Palma, Netherlands, to link to Switzerland and Eastern Ireland, Netherlands… The only bad point was the failure to close the last portion with Germany, due to heavy counterattacks in Belgium and Germany, until the Jarvis on the German anchor in Cologne.
Extra : Pirates attack !
We are pleased to tell that our anchor was one of the few that lasted the longest period because no spoofers broke it, and what a surprise when we saw the same 3 Enlightened (#teamPirates) that drove hundreds of kilometers from Paris in the night without sleeping to break #eventhorizon - #Saphir anchor (https://plus.google.com/u/0/116962023613219736912/posts/DxTnJTPys3C) to come and destroy our #O2J anchor… by swimming !!!

Impressions
We survived every strategic and complex choices that have to be made by such a huge operation, every pathways were cleared in France and we completed all we were asked. We made more contacts with some countries, we enhanced our national team with some new recruits, we are ready for keeping the fight high.
