LANDING IN RIMOUSKI
Surprise, surprise…the news of a special visitor came to our knowledge around midnight; Artifact #3 landed, from France, in Quebec at 2200 EDT. We scrambled to get people on site as fast as possible and discovered we got some wrong-color visit from other cities for the occasion - it was a surprise for us, but obviously, they knew about it.
Quickly, thanks to the amazing response time of dedicated agents, a few blockers went up and we did our best to sandbox it. If they had a plan for it, it got disturbed.
By 0200 only small hops were possible. After monitoring the links they put up and the possible exits for the artefact for a while, it was clear that the best way for us was to get a good night of sleep and see where it would be in the morning.
Steal from ENL farm
A few Montreal ENL agents moved the artefact here and there during the whole night and decided to tuck it in a (too) long standing L8 farm in Chambly.
Fortunately, agent LawnB0Y had to wake up pretty early that morning and started to evaluate the possible ways out with overwatch agents. He decided to head to south shore to gather some keys and then get on site, at the artefact. By that time, agents were slowly waking up and we started to plan according to their availability.
Thanks to the quick response from Trois-Rivières agents and to the travel route of agent SaigonDragon, we managed to have an L7 portal in a way that could be cleared very quickly.
After a few stops, Agent LawnB0Y ended on site by 1030 and started to study the field and checking around for possible ENL activity.
Luckily enough, the artefact moved closer to the water and after an hour or two, the way was cleared by agents nicemags and SaigonDragon. By 1300, portals were swiftly ADAed and the artefact jumped away from ENL hands to the ABI Becancour where it could safely be managed by the Trois-Rivières agents.
Mauricie
Our fellow resistance agents went to link at ABI Becancour to buy time and get ready for the exit shot. They made it follow a nice trail through Trois-Rivières and brought it safely up north to the exit path.
The resistance to the Resistance took their sweet time to show up but when they did, they had a fierce war with many casualties for our Trois-Rivières allies. In spite of signal issues, they managed to have a great time; props to these guys for independent work while the rest of us where planning for a way to send it back where it came from.
Quebec
A team of L8 agents was rallied pretty fast and with little details. Even if we were too many, they all moved to L’Étape, getting ready to receive and then send it back to France.
Due to a miscommunication,@Nickm78 and @Tomz997 were asked to stay behind (just in case), sorry again guys :/
They basically ran to get there while Trois-Rivières agents were struggling.
Once on site some passing frog came by and discussed a bit, the others got to explain the concept and rules of shards and artefacts. The op was slowly becoming a meetup, it was nice to see everyone and to know you can rely on faithful agents.
By 2100 EDT, the suspense was killing us but the way to France looked good and agents were ready to receive on the other side. When the artefact arrived at 2200 two blockers appeared in the way, one in Rimouski and one in Rivière-du-Loup.
Luckily enough, we managed to have both of them down simultaneously, put mods and throw the link...WHEEEEEEE - Return to sender was successful by 2300 EDT.
Many thanks to all the agents involved, that was a hell of a day.
