Operation Nachos started as a key swap between Montgomery Resistance Agent +Jared Bonebrake and Mobile Resistance Agent +David Jarrell (turns out both Eagle Scouts) on his way through Montgomery to camp with his scouts in Huntsville on July 25th. Several of David's scouts were recruited to help farm keys in Huntsville, and another meet up with Jared was scheduled on the return trip to Mobile on July 28th.
After reaching out to other agents, other key transfers were scheduled between Birmingham Resistance Agents +David Steele and @DepBigC, Hattiesburg Resistance Agent +Ryan Wiegert, and Huntsville Resistance Agents +Jessica Burks, +Nathaniel Burks, and +Matt Ossip.
As word spread, Operation Nachos quickly grew involving over 30 agents from across 5 states. Lane clearing began over a week prior to actual execution with agents in all states slowly clearing blockers leading up to the Operation.
Birmingham AL Resistance agents executed Operation Friday Night Fields which they used to not only cover lane clearing activity, but to intentionally leave tunnel links for Operation Nachos. Special thanks to all the agents who knowingly or not participated in Operation Nachos during their Friday Night Fields Op.
Operation Nachos covered over 75% of Alabama and good portions of Georgia and Mississippi with 9 layers to either side. AM03-JULIET-07 was completely fielded over along with major portions of 12 surrounding cells.
Estimated Coverage: ~67117 mi2 or ~108015 km2
Number of Layers Created: 9 Eastern Layers and 9 Western Layers. All but 1 layer made it up before Checkpoint. Three more Eastern Layers were rethrown after initial takedown.
