OPERATION WIDE BAMBOO - Sitrep
Back in June, Hawaii and Japan attempted to field the North Western Pacific in a multi-layered field, unfortunately #OperationWideBamboo was disrupted by the #JadeSkullCapMarbleThing .
Just a few days ago, Eeny Meany and Devin Magallanes out of Hawaii suggested that Japan try pulling together a crew to revive the operation as a piggy-back / adjunct operation to Operation #Deadliest headed up by mark dobson .
That we did, unlike our first attempt this attempt was scheduled for late evening and required a road trip instead of a train trip due to transit schedules. In all 5 cars with 13 agents made the grueling air conditioned trip out to the coast and successfully put up 8 links and 4 fields.
I’d like to take a moment to apologize profusely to the Hawaii team, the Japan side was supposed to throw the links and the Hawaii side was supposed to close the fields. We had a few agents arrive late and this resulted in the Japan side gaining both the Longest Link and MU gained stats.
A bit over 1.21 Million MUs were added to the global haul during the #OperationWideBamboo . Even better we were able to put the field up immediately before a checkpoint and it lasted for 2 more after that. Hopefully it will help kill the portal decay virus.
