(version francaise voir ci dessous)

The story starts with this post https://plus.google.com/u/0/+AnneBeuttenm%C3%BCller/posts/9dezBbVAYsA on January 8th. Hum, no comment...

OK so, we know what to do. We plan a meetup with Smurfs in Paris for a fun weekend. A weekend with a bit of ingress and of course sightseeing. Lots of places to see! Hangouts, a community, some documents are created, brainstorming and so on. Time passes by. A few months later, we decide to go on and chose a date in august, close to Paris Liberation anniversary to help Parisians being freed from the shapers. We are sending invites to agents all over Europe so they can book flights and hotels.

Days go by and then a small setback: Niantic is planning an anomaly on the same week-end. What to do? We are Resistants, we never give up, and French, crazy Gallic! We don’t care about Niantics anomaly, we’ll create our own anomaly with our own rules and games, included a Parcifact (two parcels, one never reached destination and went back to sender). Supreme Calvinball.

A few days before the event, a lot of participants confirmed their trips from all over Europe; they came from Swiss, Germany, England, Scotland, Finland, France, etc. This weekend was fantastic for hardcore gamers as well as their partners. Paris is a romantic city, walking during the sunset in the historical downtown. Eiffel Tower is a must-see (too bad so many portals were removed), Seine River borders are nice too (especially for a picnic). The heart of Paris is our favorite playground, so we’ve created a treasure hunt game and also planned a bus tour to discover a maximum of  portals (unique visits!). The trip ended at Versailles to visit #God and the sun king.

Unique portals visited counters went through the roof and agents received their medals consequently one after the other. One of us went the extra mile and captured 10% of all the portals in Paris!!

Some stats:
Around 500 portals visited on 30 km
More than 70 agents from all over europe
A lot of fun and full item inventories

Thank you all and organization team for making this event an amazing weekend.

Did you already plan your next trip with Resistance-Tours?
