It all started when our friends in the Enlightened moved Artifact #24 from Kuai in Hawaii to Shikine Island (http://goo.gl/CnT80f note, it sorta looks like a goldfish, Kingyo in Japanese), a small spec of an island south of Tokyo then abandoned it on the island. It was towards the end of a 3 day weekend.
HelCATs (™) (http://goo.gl/G29KXW and http://goo.gl/HwAWFq) started grumbling and joking about it right away but there wasn't much we could do about it until the coming weekend. There were periodic jokes about agents catching the Ingress flu but it stayed mostly there.
On Wednesday I went off-line for a few hours to do non-Ingress stuff then headed to an important meeting (beer) and finally opened up my HOs again. Much of the HelCAT HO chat for the past few hours was missing (it never came into my phone) but was informed by one of the HelCATs at the very important meeting (beer) that one of the other HelCATs Kogorou Kitamoto /@kogorou, had actually been infected by the Ingress flu and was predicting he would have to call in sick the next day. Furthermore, he was going to take an all night ferry out to Shikine Island for treatment. Wait, WHAT?! #OperationKingyoSukui (a carnival game where you scoop live goldfish with a hoop made of paper) is off and running and there isn’t any real plan.
Kogorou Kitamoto /@kogorou was in the process of running all over to the city to pick up the keys he needed for the Op. But, but, but, isn’t the guy who holds all the relevant international keys sitting in a “meeting”?
“The plan is to move the Artifact into central Tokyo, then we can ALL work on making sure the Enlightened don’t score.” (note to self: going off-line for a few hours may not be good for my health)
When asked those HelCATs, how they plan to move the artifact considering the island is all green, you need P7s on each end and if a ADA is used, the person who uses the ADA can’t throw a link to move the artifact. Suddenly 石井 BunnyG 勇気 /@BunnyG declares in the HO that she too has been infected. Things are getting real.
HelCATs are informed that while “playing” with #24 in Tokyo may be fun, it would be even better if it could be moved to the target portal. Arrangements to meet with Kogorou Kitamoto /@kogorou and 石井 BunnyG 勇気 /@BunnyG are made then a hasty HO is opened while I quickly hop a train. Nihal Mirpuri /@nylonee is begged to get the ball rolling with Team Hawaii, Team New Caledonia and Team Sydney about a possible incoming #24.
Kogorou Kitamoto /@kogorou and 石井 BunnyG 勇気 /@BunnyG are met at the ferry terminal and keys plus VRLAs are transferred. Aaaand they are off, with only a half baked plan and the knowledge that they would be arriving at the island after 8AM and need to get on a ferry at 1:40PM, depending on how difficult the island is to navigate, that is 4, maybe 5 hop windows. Miwa Komatsu /@SANZAI is added into the Op HO as intel support.
Nihal Mirpuri /@nylonee working with Devin Magallanes /@rxxxdevin have hashed out a plan for the Hawaii side. Vanessa Houle /@allbiznessa will be taking point on the Hawaii side and the #24 will be moved temporarily within Hawaii for safekeeping and hopefully will be merged with other Artifacts then transferred to Team New Caledonia.
Our two heroes rent bicycles (check out the pics and you’ll see why that wasn't quite as helpful as we had hoped) and immediately move to the transit portal on the island to make sure they know where it is, then are directed to the current Artifact location. Unfortunately due to bad data connectivity, a few mountain trails and an unfamiliar geography, the team misses the first window.
The Hero team needs to flip the current artifact location, and kill a few blocking links without exposing the artifact to a steal, this means going up and down the mountain a few times but these guys do it like pros.
Next hop window is rapidly approaching, they flip the transit portal (thankfully a P8), link back to the artifact and poof, #24 moves and is ready to be sent onward.
The hour till the next hop is used to strategically remove resonators from specific portals while leaving links up and flipping / killing a few others.
Team Hawaii has their portal prepped and blocks are down, VRLAs are deployed and 5 minutes before the top of the hour the link is made. Artifact moved to Hawaii, no problem.
Our heroes quickly need to destroy the VRLAs, throw a few blocking links, return the bicycles and get on the ferry all in 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, on the big island, Team Hawaii has taken out a few more blocking links and linked to the storage portal, just as our heroes in Japan begin their boat ride back to Tokyo, Hawaii makes the transfer to the storage portal. Making it look easy despite the hours of hiking the storage team need to do.
It is determined that merging #24 with other artifacts is unlikely to happen so, onward to the amazing Team New Caledonia. Link made, transfer complete, as if it is the easiest thing in the world.
After just a couple of hops on New Caledonia and a massive effort on the part of Team Sydney, #24 is slammed home.

式根島の勇者は自転車を借りまずはハワイへの送りポータルへ向かう。ポータルの位置を確認後アーティファクトポータルへ向かう。通信は途切れ途切れ、知らない場所での移動、思いがけないハイキングの必要などにより、一回目の移動は間に合わず。
勇者二人は現在のアーティファクトポータルを引っ繰り返し、邪魔リンクをいくつか他のリンクを切らないで清掃して送り出しポータルまで戻り、アーティファクト移動時間直前に送り出しポータルをADAしてリンクを張る。。完璧！
次のハワイリンクを張るまでの一時間を使って式根島内のいくつかのポータルを修正、一部はレゾネーターを削り、残りはADA又は破壊。
ハワイ側の邪魔リンクは除去され受け入れポータルの準備も完了、移動5分前にVRLAの設置、3分前にハワイへリンクを張る。ハワイへ#24は問題なく移動。
勇者二人はフェリー出発まで40分、残り時間で邪魔リンクを張、自転車を返しフェリー乗り場まで移動。
チームハワイは島内邪魔リンクの除去、保管ポータルの準備んに取り掛かり問題無く保管ポータルをリンク。保管ポータルまでの数時間の山歩きも問題なくこなし#24を移動。
他の到着予定アーティファクトの到着が見えないため、一時間後にはニューカレドニアへ#24が移動。チームハワイ、任務完了。
ニューカレドニアで二回島内移動してすぐシドニーターゲットに#24は送り込まれました。
