Dutch Resistance Helios Artifact #22 Hold-up SITREP
On Thursday 28th of August the Dutch resistance were asked to retrieve artifact #22 from the UK and guard it for a while. It was pulled to the city of The Hague and stored on Kira Kage’s home portals. Local RES players gathered at his house to keep an eye on it, drink beers and generally have a good time, all in good comfort.
Everything went as planned until it randomly jumped towards the city of Zoetermeer at 9am in the morning, a good 12 kilometers away. Quickly a RES rescue party was formed to retrieve the artifact, but not before battling local ENL agents who were also fast on the scene. A couple of hours later, the RES retrieval party managed to steal the artifact and move it to their main farm in Oud Rijswijk. Dutch ENL came that Friday night, but even with some Belgian support troops, they were not able to secure the artifact from the home turf of the Dutch Resistance. Big props for @Lasereye and @Staatsvijand for being the Team Leaders in charge of the night shift that night.@KiraKage assessed the situation and concluded it was being handled so well he went back to sleep for his own upcoming shift, excellent job. In the end, RES kept the artifact in Oud Rijswijk.
For the next two days, Saturday and Sunday, RES patrolled the farm and moved the artifact every hour, careful to prevent a second random jump. A lot of RES players from all over the Netherlands answered the call and came to help out in Oud Rijswijk.@Kirakage, @Yoast and @Staatsvijand made sure that they could keep an eye on the artifact 24 hours a day. They slept in cars in order to be there, just in case something happened. Together with various agents from around the country, who helped in shifts, we had a team around both night and day. With many more agents just a phone call away, it was in safe hands.
Sunday morning RES extracted the artifact from the farm, under the surveillance of @Drois, but not before being hindered by local ENL agents once again. #22 left the Netherlands Sunday at 17:00 in the pouring rain. It arrived in good hands in the UK.
In the end the artifact was guarded for 68 hours straight, bonding and strengthening the Dutch Resistance even further. We wish it a safe journey and can’t wait for the next one.
