SITREP: OPERATION LIMA BEANS
The Power of Combined Arms

Bottom line, up front: 9 layer megafield that touched 7 states, 20 cells, and covered 9 major cities. Each layer was between 7.8 and 7.9 million MU, for a total of just under 72 million MU captured by Enlightened agents of the mid-south and midwest regions of the US. All 9 layers were up and lasted through the 1 pm CST/2 pm EST checkpoint.
I served as an adviser to Cincinnati’s Enlightened leadership for their Interitus anomaly earlier this year. It was in this capacity that I had the pleasure of meeting Cat Vinch when she came to Nashville in May to meet with me and Leslie Bowman. During this meeting, she gave me keys to the post office in Lima, Ohio that were to be used for a fielding plan for the anomaly. Sadly, that particular plan never came to fruition, but I gave her my word that I would put those keys to use. It was through advising (and attending) Cincinnati’s anomaly that I made a lot of friends throughout the Ohio Valley, many of which were eager to help me put the keys to use. However, there was no feasible way to get keys transported yet, so it remained a pipe dream and sat on the back burner for months. Even then, I knew I wanted to name the operation “Lima Beans,” after this portal which would serve as an anchor.
The dream came alive again in September when agents across the state of Tennessee descended upon Jackson, TN for an assault squad event. Zac Dix provided keys to the west anchor. A few weeks later in early October, the Southern Enlightened Secure Ingress Community (SE-SIC) held a community meet-up in Atlanta, GA. A plan was put in place, and Sarah Boatman was gracious enough to take the keys for me and swap them with Timarie Clark from Ohio and Kevin Bosak and B Bosak from South Carolina.
Enter Jeana Steinborn. This agent from the pacific northwest came on the global scene in a big way with the announcement of Operation Unity. It was set for October 25th, which also happened to be the same weekend of the Geek Media Expo [GMX] in Nashville. What made it sweeter was learning that Joe Philley and Linda Besh would be in attendance. The only unfortunate part was that this operation could not happen at the same time as the rest of the world’s efforts, because the eastern anchor site is a military park that closes at night.
After weeks of planning and lots of stress, Operation Lima Beans finally came to fruition. Minus a slight panic over data reception at an anchor, the day of the operation went smoothly, thanks to wonderful operators and some of the finest field agents I’ve ever worked with. All of you made this possible, and I thank you sincerely. Having Lima Beans be part of the bigger picture of Unity was very fitting.
I’d like to give a personal shout-out to Anne Miles by request. David Buckham, Julie Buckham, and Keith Willett send their love. :)
