How to celebrate #IngressYearTwo

Last sunday, the 24ht of November, Resistance Bergen joined an international event to celebrate thwo years of Ingress. The target was to build at least 100 P8 portals in each participating city. Bergen managed to gather enough agents to form 3 teams, working in 3 different time periods from 12 noon to 11 PM. Some agents participated in 2 and even all of the teams, so we were never short of agents to build P8. Yours truly and Merethe Reksten Jentoft were in charge of organizing the people, and Thomas Yrvin agreed to do the counting.
Team 1 started by the portal "Den blå steinen" (The Blue Stone- a common meeting point for people)in the middle of the city centre.

Managed to build 104 P8 until 3Pm - so the goal for the day was already reached. _
Team 2 started at 4PM at the portal "Johanneskirken", a mighty church on a little hill in the city centre.

The team were able to build 105 P8 by 19PM, a total of 209. Could the last group beat this?
Team 3 started at the portal "Sjøfartsmonumentet" near the famous fishmarket in Bergen at 8 PM

_They were able to build 108 P8 until 10.40PM. Victory!,
Which made a total of 317. That's definately a new record for our city!
Nice weather, nice people and what a kick to be a part of such a successfull operation! All portals were made by walking teams, not a single car involved! Some of the agents may have had some sore legs the following monday, but i think everybody would agree - it was worth it. Thanks to all agents involved - we must do it again some time!
