Kandy is a beautiful city located in the hills in Sri Lanka and is one of the largest cities in the country. It was also the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka. For the #BucketList2015, picking Kandy was obvious due to the fact that it’s an Enlightened stronghold in the island thanks to our dedicated agents in the area. While playing in Kandy, most portals are concentrated around the University of Peradeniya, the town, city centre and the Temple of the Tooth. While shopping in the city or while you eat at one of its restaurants, you are guaranteed to reach a portal from where you are sitting.
The portal to visit before you die is the Temple of the Tooth, also known locally as ‘Dalada Maligawa.’ https://www.ingress.com/intel?ll=7.293531,80.64132&z=17, surrounded by Kandy Lake, which is a man-made lake created in 1807 by the last King of Kandy, King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe. After hacking portals inside the temple, you can take a walk around the lake and during perahera season, enjoy the local festivities.
9 Agents from Colombo teamed up with 6 agents from Kandy to carry out the task of creating 100 P8 portals in an around the city of Kandy.
