Operation Awesome: NYC, NJ, LI, and Westchester Resistance Combined For Unight16
Over one hundred agents from the New York City metropolitan area came together for good times and a show of cross-regional and international Resistance coordination and support. Starting at midnight, Sunday January 25th and extending to 11am these agents from New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester, and New York City took over much of New York City and New Jersey for the Resistance and created thousands of L8 portals. A field was planned but server lag and ghost links delayed the field going up on time, and an amazing Resistance multi-state field that did go up on time made us shift our resources into building more level 8 portals.
The event culminated with a count of 1,161 L8 portals in the target areas of the operation standing concurrently. Agents continued building while ENL agents attacked, making further counts difficult but somewhere over 1250 concurrent L8 portals stood toward the end of the operation.
