Here in WA, we're known as the Wait Awhile state. Suffice to say, we actually held our event on the Sunday as opposed to the Saturday and took our time setting up level 8 portals throughout North Perth, Leederville and Kings Park. There was bacon to be eaten and coffee to be drunk - of course we had to take our time.
We were pretty light on the ground throughout the day. We had 2 sets of 8 players but only 10 agents all up for the day. Nevertheless, it was fun and relaxed. No stress, no fuss, the way we like it.
We started up at "Time Traveler Stuck in Wall" (https://www.ingress.com/intel?ll=-31.934722,115.845555&z=17&pll=-31.934722,115.845555) inspired by H.G. Wells novel, The Time Machine, which was our first level 8 portal in Perth and set out from there.
Kings Park is known for its beauty and one of the largest inner city parks in the world. With over 400 portals available, why not utilise it and enjoy the scenery.
Overall, we made made around 150 additional level 8 portals over a chilled out 7 hours with much coffee (and water) consumed.
Was a nice day had by all. Cheers!
