Having watched my city grow in agents I get a good sence of pride having increased the portal count by two including areas rarely visited by tourists and residents alike, having missions in #ingress has allowed me to further point out these great places just off the beaten track to more and more people. 700 approved portals today 😃
It's just a shame that the portal acceptance criteria are so narrow and seem to be limited to modern or highly visible recent historical monuments.
ReplyDeleteWe have quite literally thousands of largely unknown, publicly undocumented ancient monuments here including roman temples, neolithic long barrows, henges, viking burial pits, bronze age mega fortresses and clusters of tumuli that are the homes to ancient warrior kings.
Though for many local and international visitors these would be fascinating places to visit, these staggeringly diverse and historically significant places do not get accepted as portals.
