ANZAC day field art – 25th April 2015 -100 years – Canberra …. rising sun!
For the last 2 years the Australian War Memorial (AWM) and Anzac Parade area grey/unclaimed as a mark of respect for those that fought at Gallipoli remembering those who lost their lives on this day 100 years ago and those who fought and survived.  Also this is a mark of respect for those who continue to fight for the freedoms we enjoy in modern society such as playing Ingress. In addition to this James Gibson proposed a field art event in addition to the above mentioned event.

So spurred on with James's idea I went to the planning board and did up a rough plan and sent it to James for the go ahead, we then realised that for this to be achieved the Canberra players both Enlightened and Resistance would have to work together to achieve this activity (something that has not been achieved before) hastily we James Gibson and I canvassed our communities for volunteers and a Hangout was formed and we all met at the designated spot to go over the plan and start the event.

We started @ 2000h (8pm) and began clearing the canvas. thanks to all the people both Blue and Green who when asked in comms stopped fielding in the area of operations.

The event was completed in the wee hours of the morning by a proud bunch of weary players who had formed bonds of friendship and camaraderie unknown before in the Ingress history of Canberra.
