After seeing the mission in the Netherlands I thought, Belgium needs this! After some discussions, we went for a mission with 3 hacks in every province capital. The main church, the town hall and a statue of somebody important to the city. So not 3 random portals. In some cities they are close, in some not. Not that it matters if you ask me. You’re already driving +/- 1000km, so a couple km more or less, and you get more unique visits, and you see something of the city you are visiting.
10:09 Meeting point Carrefour Ans.
We start with some shopping to get through the day. 2 packs of meatballs, gum and some drinks later we are off to hack some portals in Liège.
10:36 We enter Liège. 3 hacks. We thought drive, hack and go. Well, it took us almost 1h to hack 3 portals. Thnx Liège and your weird one way streets :D.
11:20. To Arlon. One of the longest drives about 120km.
11:50 we spot some big anchors in Bastogne. We decide since we’re here, why not kill some fields.
12:30 We enter Arlon. A really, really small city. We decided to park the car and get some uniques and a drink. We are already 2,5h in our mission but we have only visited 2 cities. Luckily we didn't plan at all and just ‘went with the flow’
13:30. Bye Arlon, off to Namur.
14:40. Namur. One of our drivers knows the city really good. So we think, this will be a quick drive into the city, hack and away we are. Until one of us has some kind of “Ingress-ban” Can’t do anything. After 10 looooong minutes he can hack and we’re off, into Namur! Maybe it was a kind of speed lock or something. But only 1 of 3 had the lock, until this day we don’t know what or why it was.
15:50 After Namur we have Wavre, only 30min drive.
16:20 Wavre. Never been here, but it was small. In and out in 30 min. Perfect! This was what we needed.
16:50 To Leuven!
17:20 We park the car and do Leuven by foot. We also get some tacos at the oude markt. Real food, not eating in the car, it looks like a great plan! The weather is perfect to eat outside and enjoy the Leuven atmosphere :D
18:20 Off to the next one, I think Charleroi. But when we arrive the nearest portal is +30km. So maybe Charleroi is not a capital. Woops, not. So we turn around and off to Mons! Little detour, but we have 2 unique visits :D
19:50 We enter Mons. Again one of our players has an ingress freeze. We know we probably have to wait it out. And again after 10 min he can hack again. We can continue. This was in and out the city. All the portals were on one straight line through the city. Perfect! Also, Mons was a nice city, too bad we couldn't stay long.
20:20 Driving 130km to Brugge. Again a long ride.
21:40 We enter Brugge. Try to get some portals by car but not a good idea. We park the car and decide to walk to the portals. By this time we get the idea to maybe go to Rotterdam and help the shard. We are “close” anyway.
22:30 On to the next one, Gent. Not that far.
23:00 Gent. Also here we have to do 2 portals by foot. Some portals are just not reachable by car. Or at least we didn't know how. By this time we must make a decision. To Shard or not to Shard. We hoped to have pass by Antwerp before we went to Rotterdam but this doesn't seem to be possible. We don’t even think about it and make the drive to Rotterdam.
02.57 We arrive at the target portal. We just have to defend the portal to keep up the field so smurfs can’t steal the shard. Success! No smurf around. Off to meet some Dutch colleagues and not to forget a see the shard! We pick up Micha Sprengers on the way and off to the Dutch Windmill. We talk a bit and take some selfies :D Also a couple of fellow frogs need a lift into the city. We don’t mind. Hell we are already driving for +12h :D
03:50 Off to Antwerp! But fist find a MC Donald’s for some cheeseburgers and a mc kroket. #WhenInHolland ;D
04:50 Wow, Belgium, Antwerp. The sun is back. Here we are not the only one who haven’t seen their bed since yesterday. We park the car and go for a walk. Because it’s Sunday morning the city is empty and we can almost park next to the portals. Not to bad :D We hack and continue, been here before, seen the city. And we want to go home. Off to our own province!
06:05 Hasselt, Limburg, saving the best for last!!! :D We know this city by heart so this is also a quick hack and go!
06:50 Back in Ans do drop off our fellow colleague. It was a long day. But a super crazy fantastic day!
07:05 Back home. We take a 2h nap and go on to celebrate Mothersday!

ps: if you're crazy enough and want to do the mission, I can modify it so the start portal is close to you. the sequence is random.
