Closest event series yet and I really don't think anybody is a loser in the one. Both sides worked their tails off for sure and showed some real class.

First off, congratulations to both factions on all of their hard work throughout the entire series. Agents from all over the world experienced Persepolis in a multitude of ways: some spent countless hours planning and organizing, some traveled hours to join others at an anomaly site, some went sleepless in the pursuit of #LightmanShards , but all of them did it because of their passion for #Ingress .
However, I would like to congratulate the Enlightened on such a well played series. This series, like recent past ones, had 4 major categories to win: Primary Sites, Satellite Sites, Connected Cells, and Shards.
Despite series rules dictating that total points win, the Enlightened won 3 of these 4 categories, with just narrowly losing the 4th. This was an amazing performance by ENL, compared to past series, and it should only drive them to greater success in the next one.
So how did the Resistance still win Persepolis despite almost losing every single category (details below)? Total scoring of the entire series, that is how. Their massive scoring at sites in Europe (Bratislava & Utrecht) and to a lesser extend Milwaukee, gave them the edge they needed for the win.
Three (3) sites basically dictated the outcome of this series.
Congratulations to both factions, it was a close one!

One thing I am interested in is that there was the narrative that the Resistance would get benefit from controlling Devra shards (over and above the points for the abnormally). I don't know if we have got a benefit yet. Have I missed something?
ReplyDeletePhillip Malone the benefit was that Devra Bogdanovich gets to continue to spout resistance propaganda until the game ends, not start talking about the greatness of the enlightened, or turn her back on both factions and start a campaign to gray out every portal..
