Lightman shards #3, #4, #7, #12, #22, The Hague, Netherlands, 23 May - 9 June 2015
TLDR; the crazy Dutch RES agents collected five shards on one portal. Aaaaaaaand they are gone now!
Five awesome shiny pieces of Lightman shards were brought by Resistance agents to the Hague and were kept there during last two weeks. Why? Because we love shards!
Shards are like babies. If you don't want them, you must protect yourself. But sometimes shit happened and... you get a shard 😂 Then you will have to spend sleepless nights and babysit it. If you don't pay enough attention, they jump away on their own and you will find them somewhere else. They cannot stay with you forever and at some time point they will leave you. This is a sad moment but also a big relieve at the same time. You say "Never again!" But... Sometimes shit happens again... 😂
Today
02:30 We saw a falling star. Everyone wish the shards away.
13:55 start your Zello NOW! You cannot miss it! We gonna do this!
I just came back from lunch to my office, still being tired after staying up last night until 2am. I grabbed my phone and run outside to catch some network.
13:58 Link! We have the link up to Iceland! There is no frogs here...!
14:00 They are gone! Yessss! Yessss! They are gone!
Two awesome and epic links of the length about 1900 km were established by @kirakage(portal with four shards) and @beast070(portal with one shard) from the Hague up to the Iceland. Yesterday one shard randomly jumped because the controlled jump was blocked by frogs. Today all five shards joined together again in Iceland, where they belong. Success!
During last two weeks
The Resistance showed an awesome performance and teamwork in the Hague. There was no single night without smurfs at the shard portal. There were always enough people to build P7 and to control the portal. Beside the local team, the resistance agents came to The Hague from different towns (@SSR13, @lielie, @Lord2Dark @Schoentoon, @Yoast) or even from different countries (@AoKageHime, @Loverdose).
The first shard #4 came to The Hague via Dordrecht from Rotterdam. The shard #3 originally spawned in London, after travelling through UK also arrived to the Hague. The shard #7 made it to the Hague from Manchester through the Ireland. The shard #12 came from Dublin. The shard #22 made a bit longer path from the US, but it has no chance to end up anywhere else, but The Hague.
[I know guys, it will hurt some of you, but The shard #4 has no name and never had one! Others four lost their names when they landed in the Hague. Just accept it xD]
Madurodam
I must say, at the beginning frogs were quite enthusiastic. After the #4 spent several days and nights on the beach, frogs managed to provoke a random jump. The shard jumped to the Madurodam - an amusement park which shows the Netherlands in miniature. Although we would prefer to keep the shard on the coast, this random jump was also good for us - shard stayed in the town. Madurodam is a nice place to spend a sunny sunday, but you have to pay the entrance ticket. Frogs did it, they made us a favour and brought the shard back to the harbour, where we actually wanted to have it.
Fake number one
I am still wondering what were the frog’s plans for the shard #4. After being a week on the intel I still could not see any specific strategy from them. But apparently they thought that they knew our strategy - bring the shard to the @KiraKige home portal. This was not the case. But it was so tempting to make them to believe in this. This was not that complicated. Cleaning a few blockers between the shard portal and Kira’s HP was more than enough. Jump time. We sent the shard from the red lighthouse to the green lighthouse. Frogs block the fake path and flip Kira’s HP (haha, sorry Kira).
Musicon
Meanwhile the second shard #3 arrived to the Hague. The #3* and #4* met each other and were resting in the Musicon park around the resistance bar for a week. Frog’s enthusiasm decreased almost to zero. Well, this is understandable, we are all human in the end. The Musicon bar usually closes at 1am for the regular visitors but for the resistance agents it is open until 2:30 am (special thanks to the main manager of the place @musicon345). The resistance agents were drinking beers inside while the enlightened agents would have to wait for the jump time outside. Demotivating, heh xD
The First Saturday. Two shards?… Moaaaarrrr shards!
A special KageRock FS edition at the Musicon with the festival and shards? Easy! Shards #4 and #3 stayed there for the social part of the FS and were pulled back to the coast at 2 pm when the social start of the FS stopped and the battle part of the FS started. On the coast they meet three other shards *#7, *#12 and #22. There can never be enough shards ;)
Fake number two
Dunes and sunny weather…. A link amp on the shard portal and removed oversea blockers makes you believe that shards will be sent away. Frogs panik and put blockers back. We make a small jump the neighbouring portal.
Aaaaand they are gone!
All five shiny shards were supposed to leave the Hague last night at the 2 am jump. But this has not happened. Frogs got us blocked oversea. One shard randomly jumped about 700m away. Well, all five shards left the Hague today, exactly over the same path which was foreseen for them today. As a bonus an awesome +740 MU filed was created. Now a new chapter begins. Iceland.
Right now, when I am writing this sitrep, the resistance celebrates in the Hague at the Musicon. Guys, you deserved this! Enjoy! Tonight you can go to bed early. Every agent has played an important role in this game (names are still being collected). Thanks all of you for your time, effort and dedication! The list of participated agents, mainly from the Hague, include but not limited to:
@Agent327love010@AimlessDonut@apocallyon@BachusNL@basstracker@BlueMeister@BOdenhaag@bokkie@cannabas1@cb400f@cererbr0@chanelvdpluijm@CypherNL@DJdenhaag@docnl@dolfijnn1@Dolphin45@driesse010@Eliminator@Feddo@fred974@Gargamel75@Grinonetka@handleiding@HendrikTovenaar@jansepans@JRuben@KiraKage@KlaasH@Knippa@lielie@Lord2Dark@loverdose@marcochil@MichelleDessler@Moghammed@mTYN@Mver@noa200158@nyonggemus@pianoqui@PrivatePuddle@Ronterminator@Rugila@Schoentoon@Scumbag010@Sorrose@SSR13@StekR@SunLover@Telecomsmurf@thomas010@Tosty82@Trussardi@Voyage23@X3N0f00B@xJeanZx@Yoast
The lesson we can learn from this chapter of the Lightman shardwars is:
Push through and always keep going - and you will get it.
(This is applicable not only to shards but to any life situation….)
