Objective: Continue an incredible 72-0 cycle win streak!

The team. The goal. The will. The win.
Since long before IQTech Research introduced Regional Tracking Technology (RTT) the time that the time Bergen was covered in blue Resistance modulated XM field could be measured in minutes and hours, not days. The core Enlightened team of volunteers has kept a lockdown on the area, giving the uninformed population access to Exotic Matter enhancement, should they choose.
Over 2.5 years, the team worked hard to keep Bergen green.
Then, from way outside the cell a #SummerBreezeOp blew in. We have weathered similar megafields before, even when they come in the form of spoofer fields.
No big deal. We got this.
But we didn't.
The ghost fields persisted for 2 checkpoints after the takedown in Svalbard by our brave @4nthrax.
My team is the best. Saddled with the insurmountable task of 6M mind units to overcome in less than a week, in a cell only worth 150KMU, they simply said: "Let's get started". The #GhostMU just had to go. Turns out the task was not impossible, and just the sort of challenge this team was built for.
And they did. Field after field, layer after layer we unleashed a torrent of green upon Hotel-14 in Hordaland county. Not all of it lived to checkpoint. The Local Resistance came to life in Bergen like never before. They smelled blood in the water and threw blockers across the fjords and hammered our anchors, trying to hold back the tsunami. And they did.
Despite all the planning, driving, kayaking, and energy drinks, our layered systems just didn't survive enough checkpoints. Variations, permutations, distractions, counter-blockers added to an average of 140KMU to 178KMU. The score does not reflect the monumental effort that was put out by Bergen Enlightened and the Norway Enlightened support system from points South, North and all over.
We were not alone in this fight.
This shouldn't be taken as a negative sitrep. We stop and see the portals. we have fun. To Ingress in Norway is a privilege. See the images below. The land of the midnight sun showed us views we
wouldn't see if we were on the couch. You couldn't hire a tour guide to take to some of the breathtaking places this cycle did. So, no, there are no regrets or sour feelings. Nothing was left on the table. They gave their hearts and will grow back stronger. Bergen Enlightened do not feel defeated.
