As always I have to say what an amazing team we have! Operation Baked Alaska was a success overall! Lets go back to the beginning. About half a year ago one of our agents came up with this plan based off his travels for work. He also wanted to get his Onyx as well as a few other very special people close to him. Over time he moves the appropriate keys to their destinations. From here we start to build the Teams, and we will need a lot of agents for this one. we start to rally the big time fielders in each area that include Wyoming, Montana, Idaho (with help from Washington), British Columbia, Alaska, Nevada, Utah and California. Finally we set a date, July 25th. Please note that we chose this date prior to the announcement of the Xfaction BBQ with Joe Philley and John Hanke, it was just a bonus to show these guys what west coast and Mountain ENL do best!
Now we are into the grind, 2 weeks before throw we start the motions, build the clear teams, get the operators on the same page and go over all scenarios that may arise. First hiccup the California ENL throw an amazing 2 layer field over the Bay Area (SF) Using some deep portals in Yosemite. The links from yosemite to SRI block our field but like any great team we had a plan B set of anchors to use, quick redraw and yes, now the Links are great protection rails! We re adjust assignments and move forward as planned!
48 hours to go, it’s getting a little crazy out there. Res know we are up to something but can’t figure it out. we start to see a lot of “blockers” going up all over the place. Thankfully most of these were to our benefit seeing how they actually railed and squared our lanes and anchors perfectly. For this I THANK YOU RESISTANCE!
24 hours to go, Now the resistance is really trying to block us. Odds are they have noticed some odd clearing and think we are going for hawaii. A link from Long Beach WA is thrown to the big island in hawaii and R @Firstdegree does his usual muck up central Nevada. no problem we had someone to handle him. As for the Hawaii link we had to get a hold of a local. We get confirmation he can kill it after breakfast AWESOME WORK AGENT! Now the res smell something. Blockers from Port hardy to CML and WA are tossed, Thanks Dude you railed for us and blocked yourselves from blocking to Hawaii!
Go time first I make a quick prayer
“Our Father who extends, hallowed be thy name. Thy link amp come, Thy field be done. On earth as it is above us. Give us this day our MU count and forgive those for trespassing for we shall not. And lead us to field established. For thine is the kingdom, the power, the glory for ever and ever. #HeExtends”
It is now go time. The clear teams have assignments and are on the way. The anchor teams in AK and WY are ready. The Anchor team for PSL is headed to the tour. Minor touch up clearing on the lanes is happening with only 1 real new blocker but one of our agents doubles back and handles that with ease. Next hiccup, Res have been spotted in Seward 30 min before throw window, this will prove to be a challenge to overcome. Everyone is in position. The kill order has gone out and within a minute all but 1 blocker is down. our agent is working as fast as he can to get the situation handled. the link to PSL from WY is up. Now we wait…… and our biggest fear happens Res @Sant0ri works with the Port hardy agent to drop a link so he can link to Queen Charlotte off the coast from Fort Nelson. This could be the end of the op….. Suddenly the Seward team finds a four leaf clover! Seconds after this discovery we get confirmation of an agent in Fort Nelson headed to the @Sant0ri blocker!!!! ETA 15 MIN. The word goes out to hold the lane, throw any rails possible and keep the few active smurfs busy. Finally the link is down! We throw blockers from Toad BC at the same time WY gets the link up to Sterling AK. Sterling Team links to PSL FIELD ESTABLISHED. From here we throw 7 layers over the PNW. Now we ada the outside layers and start to rethrow the inside layers with the the PSL team now on site. At this point a war breaks out in AK with smurfs at both locations. Agents battle left and right to keep anchors alive and get some extra throws in. We managed to get 2 layers from PSL (largest to date thrown from this location) as well as a few more from AK and WY. A total of 11 fields saw life this great day at an average of 14.9mmu! 7 new onyx badges came from this in AK and WY where normal mu density is well pitiful on the normal fielding size. Lane Clearers and Lane operators you all did AMAZING JOBS you know who you are. Anchor teams did fantastice trying to listen to me after 40 hours straight with 0 sleep. EVERYONE WAS AMAZING!
Total Layer 11
Estimated total MU count 165mmu
