Mission / Objective: To celebrate the cat as a symbol for Enlightenment at the 8th of August, International Cat Day, by making two field art cats.
City / Country: Göteborg (Gothenburg) / Sweden
SitRep: #Felidae
A couple of hours before our set time to meet up, chaos arose. A group of local smurfs had decided to put up a field blocking the whole of Gothenburg, and our participating agent @Knubbiz quickly headed out to remedy the problem, along with several others. The rest of us met up near the entrance to the eastern cemetery at 6 pm, sat down to discuss our course of action, saw the pesky blue field drop and enjoyed a somewhat classic Swedish "fika" consisting of cookies and elderflower cordial.
Said and done, with printed papers in hand and smiles on our faces, we all went our separate ways and linked our first field art together, a cat stretching out. We had a minor hiccup as Resistance agent @rolsson passed us by, shooting down two portals meant as the base of the tail, but thankfully for us he decided against tearing it all down. When done with the lines we met up again, now joined by @Knubbiz, and as we looked at it through Intel we decided "Nah, it needs some more colour, make it pop!", went for a quick stroll and filled it all in.
Our next stop was Götaplatsen in the heart of Gothenburg, at the very top of the central avenue, but as we stood there on the cemetery and checked our watches our stomachs began to growl and mouths went dry. The choice was made to split into two groups to fit into the cars and head on over to the bar Bishop's Arms, just a stone's throw away from Götaplatsen, for food and drinks. Here, agent @Reagaz bid us goodbye and went on his merry way.
With our bellies filled and our thirst quenched, we once again split into two groups to cover more ground faster, with agent @relk heading out on his own to take down blockers and enable the rest of the operation.
The linking went smoothly and as our second field art, a cat's head, slowly appeared in our scanner we rejoiced. Technically, we were finished! Again, we filled it in to make it "pop", and as we did so and walked towards our rendezvous point, blue portals appeared inside our cats head! It was Resistance agent @LM12 who had headed out for an evening stroll, but our cat thankfully remained intact. At last we met up around 9:20 pm on the steps of the theatre, looked over our day's work, smiled and went our separate ways.
