Starting Location: Ocean View park in Santa Monica.
The Pre-Partay:
6 PM till 7 PM. Come and join us at the starting location, for the optional pre-partay. We’ll have lots of toys and goodies out there from our sponsors, and it’s a good time just to meet and hang out! It’s a supa-chill pre-party to get us goin’!
The Photo Walk:
7 PM till 9 PM. I’ll kick things off by saying a few things, tell you about how to win the prizes, give you some photo tips, then we’ll all set out together from where the bus is parked. It’s a leisurely walk where we have lots of time to chat, stop and take photos. See the route here.
Exclusive After Party:
9 PM till 11 PM. This is a ticketed event because it’s at a smaller venue (this is the only non-free part). If we’re sold out we may have more tickets available in person if we end are able to secure a larger venue. Find out more about the After Party below.
Who is invited?
Everyone! All skill levels. It’s a family-friendly event. And, if you don’t want to come alone, you can always bring a friend. Either way, you’ll make a ton of new friends while there… Very Nice People always come to these events!
What do I bring?
You can bring whatever photography equipment you like. I’ll probably have my whole kit plus a tripod, but you can show up with just a mobile phone if you wish. It’s all good. You may want to bring some water too, as it will be the middle of summer and your mom says to drink more water.
What if there is a problem and you can’t find your fearless leader?
Along the way, I’ll have a mini-stage and speaker system so everyone should be able to hear me as I stop for occasional photos and talk through them. But let’s say you get lost or I am no where to be found, Don’t Fret! Just continue on the route. You have the map above, so keep on goin! There’s a big crowd, so simply stick to the sidewalks, respect traffic controls, allow passage for other pedestrians, etc.
How do I upload photos to share and enter this city’s special photo contests?

Deets on the Exclusive After Party!
Exact Location: Viceroy Hotel
Time: 9 PM till 11 PM.
After every photo walk we wanted to have a special and more intimate event. This will be an indoor venue that is a bit smaller (thus the limited tickets) and we have a few special things planned.
We’ll set up for about 15 minutes while people get their drinks or snacks or whatever they wish to buy. Then there will be about 45 minutes of presentation with a projector. Trey will tell some stories, give some photography secrets and tips I’ve accidentally figured out, He’ll look at some live #TREYUSA hashtags from the interwebs, do some critiques, show you some cool toys, maybe even quickly process a photo. After the presentation, we can all hang around and talk more, about anything! Sometimes people like to show me their photos or take more photos or, well, whatever. It’s a party! :)
Where’s my ticket?
Just bring your phone and have the email receipt ready to go. You can show it to the security at the door and slide right on in!

ReplyDeleteJoe Philley can I call for a recount; lots of portals, but zooming in on that "area" the count is about ~200, of which most are not on those two routes. Looks like who ever told you 1000, may have exaggerated (unless Intel isn't showing them correctly) ... #wasAboutToBookFlight lol
