Operation Blue Moon
“Sky is the limit” is it? It cannot be in the modern Information Age I think. We all are thinking beyond the boundary and trying to make it real. We, #Resistance Sri Lanka a.k.a #ResistanceLK are not away from this imagination though. #LightmanShard of the last #Persepolis anomaly series made us to look more into that. For the first time in Sri Lankan Ingress history we brought 3 Shards together to this pearl island and we successfully transferred them to Padang, Indonesia across the vast Indian ocean with #VRLA which is the one and only VRLA operation in Sri Lanka up to now. 2 of them reached their target home suceesfully! it’s awesome to recollect those memories, they always inspire us to make even better ones. So it begins.
The OP
The operation was to connect more countries across the Indian ocean and create Millions of Mind Units. Our BRRN members made the network and came up with a plan of connecting 4 nations across the ocean. We used to do Operations covering up the Island with neighbours India & Maldives. But this time the plan was extended to our far east neighbour Padang, Indonesia with nested fields. I volunteered to draw the plan and make the documentation. 29th of August, the day on which the moon was
shining up in full luminous! Full Moon in Sri Lanka is so special. It’s consecrated for Buddhists and It’s a public holiday. 29th Full moon is named as “Nikini full moon poya day” in Sri Lankan Calendar. It’s even special that the historic “Esala Maha Perehera” of Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy is also held in the same day (Read here: https://goo.gl/LLijHw ). The team was ready to light the sky in blue and to let the bluemoon lume the nations.
Agent @xCl0uDYx joined me to assist and operate the mission. We worked together and identified plenty of potential blockers in blue and green.@NuSmurf, the gentleman again was on scene to find and guide the agents. Smurfs volunteered to be parts of this, specially the freshers!.@dinmil @navin83 @PA9 was on fire to find members to assign teams.@yohanzee networked with oversea agent to get it done. Southern wing comrades were in motion to get in action in case of code red. East wing was mobilised. And the papasmurf @thinir was supervising the overall process and the performance of kids. Key transference was done in a recent meetup with agents in Rajagirya. We were set to go.
Sunshine and the Moonshine
Woke up with a hope! As planned, 29th Saturday Noon the Madhu Team and the Sithulpauwa team dispatched to the targets, in fact they were going for Wildlife Safari. Blocker killing warriors found their comfortable time to travel and followed the activities strategically. We were expecting more blockers since it’s weekend, more agents would have travelled and their links could block our plan.@SHANA30000BC took the control of the North Region, He killed the blockers in a tactical way at his unique.@nkari joined the OP while he was on a trip. He helped us by clearing blocking links from Dambulla to Kekirawa. Our path was half cleared. We had a trouble to clear friendly blockers from Gampola to Nintavur. Nintavur is my home town, But I was unable to clear since I’m living in Colombo for my personal goals. Kandy kings came up to clear them, luckily our ENLs showed their love on those 3 links. agent @Dishum with his partner @jayvfodo made their way to clear Southern Blockers. To be mentioned, our new smurfette @Hansihp was so brave to take down a green blocking link in Hikkaduwa. agent @Asithastro quitely did great job in Galle by clearing blockers. agent @yashan007 was on call to take down the blockers in Galle and @kg900 in Tissamaharama.
Command spreaded to killers to kill blockers in an ordered sequence to clear the path. At 2031 hrs Anchor portals were flipped and prepared, First 2 fields layered from Kataragama by @cc89& Maldives agents, based to Madhu Church and Dhiffushi Island, MV and added 23M MU to their faction. Kataragama is another historic place in Sri Lanka having an old history (More details about Kataragama: https://goo.gl/8SBzzn ). Then, the turn was to light up the Fields from Sithulpauwa.@PA9, @RaN90, @UltraStrike joined together and had a challenging journey through Yala Forest to Sithulpauwa Raja Maha Viharaya, an ancient Buddhist monastery (More details on Sithulapauwa: https://goo.gl/kftnUY ) to complete the 3 Layers adding 36M MU for Resistance with the coordination of Maldives Resistance .
Now the time to make our history,@dinmil @navin83 @Dumira @prakash9 @wasdkiller @AJENTVENOM&@TSMP had a safari through Wilpattu forest and camped at Madhu Church premises in Mannar, Sri Lanka, a historic church in Sri Lanka _(More about Madhu church https://goo.gl/YjxvJS)_ They were on set to complete the operation by completing fields with Maldives and Padang, Indonesia. As soon as the safety blockers taken down by @Djsithu in Pasikuda, the first two fields were pulled off by Maldives agents, and LK agents pulled the remaining 2 layers. Additional layer was created from Dhiffushi Old Mosque to Attukal Kovil, another historic place in Kerala, India. The 3rd phase brought us 68M Mind Units.
At the end of the Mission we successfully completed the “Operation Blue Moon” with 154 Million Mind Units. AS10-GOLF-01 knows as Colombo cell peaked at 33M RES : 4.6M ENL for 2130hrs CP. Smurfs started celebrating the awesomeness of the Blue Sky and the Blue Luminous of the Moon. COMM was bombed. After 1.5 hrs, layers from Padang anchor was taken down by ENLs, but remaining 5 Layers anchored in Sri Lanka were covered half of the Island. The Madhu team decided to hold their journey as soon as Padang went down., they were up to something again. Agents networked again oversea to pull up the layers again to Padang. They added a layer to Padang by repeating the same for 0230CP of next day early morning and added another 16M MU to confirm the moon is still blue, so blue!
When I got up in the morning, I could see the dark blue again covering the deep Indian ocean. Madhu team was on route back to base and Sithulpauwa team stayed there for safety concerns in dark. We expected that, frogs will break the Blue before check point at 0730hrs. as we expected around 0700 the Northern frogs were on spot in Madhu Church premises to break the Blue. The battle began, Madhu team was successfully defended the portals with the help of the bravos @sandun95&@bonebow by Recharging and Deploying. In addition @PA9 was quick enough to pull another layer from Sithulpauwa worth of 12M. So we secured the layers from Sithulpauwa and it was counted for the 0730 hrs Checkpoint.

This operation was to change the traditional operations that happened in Sri Lanka, giving the taste of BAF to newbies & helping our neighbours to achieve Onyx Illuminator medals. We used to linking and creating BAFs towards west from of the Island. We wanted to change the tradition and remark it in Sri Lankan Ingress history by pulling the fields towards with the help of #SBUL ( which saved our VRLAs). Resistance to write history! for the victory!
