Operation Blue Wind
Resistance Mumbai is known for participating in a large number of OPs in India and has a fair share of contributions in the world of Ingress. But for a while now agents got busy in real lives and new agents were not able to see great ops like DoubleMazza and DoubleMazzaAgain. So a bunch of agents took the responsibility of bringing the mazza (fun) back in Mumbai Ingress. As it has been often said
“Good Habits must be cultivated and the results shall be rewarding”.
With Regional scoring system it became pertinent for every agent to stay active and keep contributing to local scores. This time #ResistanceMumbai agents tried to boost the confidence and the activity of the agents by planning Operation Blue Wind.
@NecroMerc (myself) set out to seek a mega boost in Mind Units for the faction and for the local region. @Sacredjunk and I travelled 98 kms to the north of Mumbai to Shirgaon Fort, Palghar in order to farm keys and agent @themonya took a journey of 82 kms from Karjat in the east to transfer keys.
Agent @siraj007 was a great help in removing cross links at the most crucial time i.e. just a few hours before the Checkpoint. He went to Panvel to break an important ENL field anchor that held a cross link from Panvel in the east to Parel in the west of Mumbai. This set all the wheels in motion. Several cross links were taken down by @Emperror15 @Sheldon19 @Ironhide7587 @Mjuana @SupremeKai @siraj007 and @Qdalz to pave the way for Blue Wind.
Agents @SaIvo @Hardr0ck @sn0wbr33ze and @Necromerc in Colaba with @themonya in Karjat successfully blanketed the entire city of Mumbai under 9 fields worth more than 10 Million MUs each, giving a total boost of 90 Million MUs. Taking Palghar in the north and Karjat as base anchors 7 fields were created from Colaba, and 2 more layers were added from Karjat, with Palghar and Colaba as base anchors .
It was unfortunate, running into some heavy traffic and rain while travelling on a new route, agents In Colaba were not able to execute the plan on time and hence only 5 layers were counted for the 12:30 CP.
Agents @Hardr0ck @sn0wbr33ze unlocked their Black Illuminator medal with this Operation.
