But I field as a mental exercise in graph theory with directional dependence. Sometimes the goal is maximum ap with balanced node distribution. Other times (like here), the intent is node focused ap where the outer two portals can be Jarvis cycled for ~45k hourly. #showmeyourfields #ingressfields

Write up done by Heidi Hoopes, thanks all that was fun!  "Agents Fathom05 and Gallifrey21 (Delores Jones ), anticipating their imminent faction change, designed Operation Out With a Bang to celebrate and collaborate with teammates, both present and future. Op OWB started as blue and green starburst linking art and grew to 339 links by the time all the agents were finished (exhausted, out of keys, and/or out of gas) many hours later.  A starburst design attempts to link a few portals to the most portals possible, creating an explosive effect. Because of the 8 link limitation it requires many agents driving and linking from remote portals. It also requires expansive clearing, more so than even a BAF, because even a small link could be a blocker to what is essentially spamming an area with links.  Two close portals in Lafayette were selected, Water...

Immediately following the Peoria Area #IngressFS  event ( https://plus.google.com/u/0/events/c3oc2b2sf6h6uofpvu31eh103hk ) a benefit will be held for Shannon Wilson.  Shannon was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and is currently undergoing treatment, which includes chemotherapy and radiation.  Her friends, her family and the Ingress community would like to help Shannon and her family offset the medical and other associated costs incurred by inviting everybody to join us for a fun evening including dinner, auctions, a raffle, a bake sale and live music.  Admission into the event is $10 which includes dinner from 4-7pm.  There will be a cash bar, cash bake sale, and plenty of goodies to bid on in the silent auctions.  And starting at 5pm, there will be live music from three different bands.  Please come out for the fun and to support Shannon in her fight against cancer. Then the #Illuminator badge was released and L11 was just some MUs away. Today i climbed to the hightest point of Portugal (Torre -1993 mts) and did more 7 CFs over my city Covilhã. In 4 days I went from a total of 100K MUs to 402K, got Gold Illuminator badge and Level Up for L11 #IngressFields #EnlightenedCovilhã  Joe Philley

I do love those big deep colored fields. #IngressFields Originally shared by John McMurtry Operation This is MY badge!: Onyx Illuminator I am Demothesses.  I build.  I smash.  I farm.  But what I play for is Mind Units.  I can't express how frustrated I'd become that there was new badges for a zillion things, but not for MU captured.  I was overjoyed my badge had finally come!  I got Platinum Illuminator right out of the gate with 3.85 Million mind units already in the bank.  I do most my fielding solo, or semi-solo.  My fields tend to be 5kmu to 30kmu, though I’ve been known to micro layer a cluster now and then.  The largest field I've ever closed was under 150kmu.  With a field to link ratio of 0.95 it’s safe to say I plan every single link I throw. I've fought layer after layer, field after field for every mind unit.  So there it was, staring at me.  Onyx Illuminator and only 150kmu to go.  I pulled up intel and the map spoke to me.  3 candidate fields laid themselv...
